I love using Petal Dusts. I use them for my gumpaste flowers but I also use them on the cakes. I have my favorite companies for Petal Dusts but there's only one that has more FDA approved products that you can use directly on the cakes. This company is CSA Sugar Art, INC.

 

They have a diversity of colors. Some of them are FDA approved( ULTRA),  the non- toxic colors, pearlescents, sparkles/diamond and then you get the highlighters that are made just to use for details.
